Guruji Sri A.S. Raghavan started teaching Thiruppugazh in 1958

  • 1965

    First St Arunagirinathar Ninaivu Vizha in Delhi.

  • 1975

    Sixth birth centenary celebrations of St Arunagirinathar,including release of a commemorative Indian postal stamp.

  • 1980

    Guruji’s visit to UK for spreading Thiruppugazh.

  • 1983

    Silver Jubilee Celebrations at Delhi.

  • 1988

    Thiruppugazh Vaibhavam in Bangalore and visit to USA and Canada to propogate the teachings of St Arunagirinathar.

  • 1989

    Arunagiri Mahotsavam celebrated in Delhi.

  • 1991

    Release of Thiruppugazh Madaani at Chennai.

  • 1992

    Thiruppugazh Utsavam—commemorating the completion of two decades of Thiruppugazh in Mumbai.

  • 1993

    Release of audio cassette of Vel Mayil Viruthangal.

  • 1993

    Release of book—Thiruppugazh Isai Vazhipadu—a compilation of 425 songs with ragas ,thals and chandams.

  • 1994

    Silver Jubilee celebrations of Karnataka region.

  • 1996

    Release of audio cassettes containing all songs on Thiruppugazh Isai Vazhipadu book.

  • 1997

    Silver Jubilee celebrations of Mumbai region.

  • 1998

    Thiruppugazh Thiruppani Vizha and Silver Jubilee of Chennai region.

  • 2001

    Arunagirinathar Aanmeeka Peru Vizha and release of book with musical notations for 75 thiruppugazh songs at Chennai.

  • 2003

    Pavazha Vizha of Guruji Sri A.S. raghavan at Chennai.

  • 2008

    Golden Jubilee celebrations at Bangalore.

  • 2013

    Thiruppugazh Aanmeeka Peru Vizha at Chennai.

  • 2014

    Golden Jubilee year of Padi Vizha and Arunagirinathar vizha at Delhi.

  • 2015

    Thiruppugazh Peru Vizha and Valli Kalyanam at Bangalore.

  • 2017

    Guru Samarpana Thiruppugazh Isai Vizha (singing all 505 songs taught by our Guruji) at Chennai.

  • 2018

    Mani Vizha-60th year celebrations of Thiruppugazh teaching started by Guruji Sri A.S. Raghavan,Release of the Isai Vazhipadu book in Telugu

  • 2019

    Velli Vizha-Silver Jubilee of Thiruppugazh activities in Hyderabad Secunderabad. Launching of a web site for Thiruppugazh Anbargal with the aim to remember Guruji and his Paddhathi. Release of the Isai Vazhipadu book in English

    A WhatsApp group has been created with members from every centre in the world where Thiruppugazh Anbargal are present,this has given us information of the wide diaspora of activities in cities big and small across India and the globe

  • 2020-2021

    Covid infested world with all its regulations brought about a change in our activities. Guruji’s bhajans were retrieved from the archives, audio upgraded, script & appropriate pictures added, a bhajan was put up online for every major event. This proved to be a wonderful opportunity for us to enjoy Gurujis bhajans and for the new commers to understand his greatness. All the online bhajans have been put in the virtual bhajans section.

  • 2023

    Guruji's 95th birthday celebrated in Tiruchendur in Chitra Sabai

    Dec-Birth Centenary celebrations of Sri N.Subramanian celebrated by TA Hyd,with participation of anbargal from across the country

  • 2024

    A WhatsApp group has been created including all the teachers of Thiruppugazh from across the globe.

    A monthly teachers meet is being conducted ,where in, a expert committee fine tunes the teachers to enable quality teaching and conducting bhajans according to the paddhati set by Guruji

  • 2025

    The website has been updated in March 2025-additional features added are
